Picture a perfect day with blue skies, gentle April breeze in Prosper, Texas. Ginny and Blake had one request which was to be married outdoors on the groom’s family ranch surrounded by family and friends. Plus two special attendants as ring bearers-their puppies. Ginny’s attendants were given the option of selecting their own attire as long as it was in a shade of purple. Ginny’s bridal dress was purchased from www.stardustcelebration.com .

Friends of the couple provided the ceremony music, leading the guest from the pre-ceremony area to the guest seating sound a Conch Shell. As guest arrived they were greeted with “Beer Rita’s”, a refreshing beverage that set the mood of the wonderful evening ahead.

The entrance gate, altar fence area, bouquets and reception decor was provided by www.darrellward.com. The bride chose fibrant colors and flowers to accent the evening. Sarah Rizy with www.lightlyphoto.com captured all the incredible moments of the day. Post ceremony cocktail time and guest dining was a delight to everyone’s eye and palate being catered by www.savory-catering.com. The reception tent was adorned with special lighting created and set in place by www.taylorrental.com providing an amazing glow during the evening. The Party Machine www.emeraldcitymanagement.com band completed the reception by providing high energy music throughout the night with the guest covering every area of the dance floor and more. The high light of the reception was provided by Ginny and Blake’s request for the guest to send off Chinese Fire Lanterns in the open field. Truly a magical ending to an incredible evening.

the a traditional Persian Ceremony, followed by the grand entrance of Niki and Ali

entering the Grand Ballroom in a vintage Rolls Royce. Dinner and dancing completed the

lovely evening.

Ginny and Blake’s wedding was a beautiful outdoor wedding at the groom’s family ranch in Prosper, Texas. It was such an amazing and fun wedding, everything came together perfectly! Ginny and Blake were high school sweethearts so when they finally decided to tie the knot they knew exactly what they wanted, which made them so lovely to work with. I really enjoy what I do because every wedding is so different from the next. This was no exception, one that was truly unique and captured the bride and groom’s personalities perfectly! I wish them the best in their lives together! Here are some photos I took from set up to the actual wedding, more pictures from Lightly Photography to come in the months ahead.

The Proposal in the Bride’s Own Words:

Welden proposed to Michelle in Georgetown, South Carolina on Friday December 31, 2010. They were at a friend’s plantation along the Black River. Welden took Michelle out on a boat on the cypress lake next to the house on a beautiful and warm day. The house and lake were the setting of the movie The Notebook and the setting for Welden’s proposal. Welden drove the boat towards the back of the lake where there is an Egret rookery. A duck happened to make a noise behind Michelle in the boat and she turned around. When she turned back around, Welden was down on one knee in the boat and asked her to marry him.

After returning to the house, Welden and Michelle were surrounded by friends and family. They were toasted and prayed for in the backyard overlooking the river.
Is that not the best proposal? To top it off, the Bride and Groom’s Save-the-Dates are similar to a movie poster from The Notebook. They rolled a mini poster up in a cylinder and mailed it off to guests for a message-in-a-bottle theme. So clever!

Texas Hill Country Celebration for Nora and Will’s Wedding

Nora and Will’s romance began in the Hill Country, or rather the site of the Longhorn’s during their freshman year at UT. Their union was a true celebration for all their family and friend’s, with Will’s determination to complete medical school while Nora taught school and traveled abroad.

The beautiful Horseshoe Bay Marriott Resort was the center of the wedding weekend, with golf, water skiing and wine tasting- offering something for everyone.

As the bridal party arrived to the resort, they boarded a motor coach to kick off the wedding festivities with a luncheon at Spicewood Vineyards in Marble Falls.

Friday evening the groom’s family hosted an incredible rehearsal dinner at River City Grille with a tropical theme keeping with the honeymoon destination. Each guest was adorned with a lei and offered a tropical drink in honor of the honeymoon destination for Nora and Will.

The wedding day set up and decor started early with arrival of the Austin’s Stacey Hoage of Petal Pushers. With the reception being at the outdoor White Water Pavilion at the resort, candles, flowers and tiki torches lined the grassy areas surrounding the the center dance and stage area.

The entire weekend was captured by videographer Mark Sommer of Adastra Video Productions, with photographer Stacey Sodolak of Austin, SMS Photography photographing the wedding day.

Hair stylist Tammie Garza and make up artist Su-Min Ruliffson of Austin set up their services in the suite for a fun afternoon of beauty leading up to the ceremony for Nora and her bridal party.

Nora and Will exchanged their wedding vows in the evening overlooking the lake of Horseshoe Bay at The Church of Horseshoe Bay in Marble Falls.

Nora selected her Judd Waddell gown from Patsy’s Bridal in Dallas, with bridal attendant dresses being designed by Watters and Watters.

The outdoor reception was truly amazing with the band Sauce providing the music for the guest. There was not an inch of the dance floor not covered the entire evening! The resort also offered many areas for the guest to stroll throughout the evening from the beautiful waterfalls to the Japanese Gardens, with exotic birds for enjoyment. The photo booth Say Cheese also captured many of the fun moments throughout the evening.

The couple made their exit in a golf cart decorated by the bride’s sister and boyfriend. Truly a site to see.

But the party did not end, as guest kept on their dancing shoes and headed up to the Highland’s Bar and Grille at the resort for some serious late night karaoke provided by the friends and bridal family. It was truly a celebration weekend in the hill country.

Lacey and Rodney Leon

The Wedding of Lacey and Rodney was such a joy to be apart of from the planning stages to the very end of a wonderful evening. Lacey and Rodney are Red Raiders all the way and loved designing each part of their wedding. Lacey and her mom designed the invitations themselves along with a beautiful program to compliment their theme. Beautiful wreaths adorned the entrance of Royal Lane Baptist Church created by The Garden Gate Floral.

Make up artist Matiee Miles was Lacey’s one and only choice for her wedding day look, for she and her bridal party. The hair and make-up party was kicked off with snacks and bubbly in a suite at The Adolphus Hotel.

Photographers Mike and Rejana Krause of Bludoor Studios captured each and every detail of the wedding and reception.

The Tower Club was where the dancing and incredible menu began, with guidance from catering manager Diane Dobis. The ballroom over-looking the lights of downtown Dallas was enhanced futher by the lighting of ES- Event Solutions. Brad Litteken, the DJ kept everyone on the dance floor throughout the evening.

Mary King created a beautiful cake for Lacey and surprised Rodney with a Red Raider cake to his delight.

One of the highlights for the guests was Randal Stout’s Pic Strip booth with props galore and fun photos for each guest to take home at the end of the evening.

As Lacey and Rodney’s guests were gathering for the departure on the street, the couple shared a private last dance.

The horse drawn carriage was waiting for the couple, provided by Party Animals Carriage as they ran through a sparkler lit send-off by the guests. All smiles for a perfect ending.

Ravenhill Wedding

I adored my bride Gerri from the moment I met her. Actually she was in two other weddings that I coordinated several years ago,so it was really fun to get to plan with she and Chad. Wedding day hair and make up began in a suite at The Adolphus Hotel, with make up artist Sidney Cother from Neiman Marcus and hair stylist Sonia Trevino, both doing their magic to make faces glow and beautiful updo’s to last the through out the evening.
Highland Park United Methodist Church was the site where Gerri and Chad shared their wedding vows, followed by an elegant dinner reception in The Grand Ballroom of the Adolphus Hotel.

Visual Artistry captured the fun filled evening. Gerri and Chad surprised their guest with first dance providing fast action movements that had the room filled with laughter and amazement. It was a true work of choregraphy. Beyond lighting created a magical and warm ambiance with the soft amber lighting that flowed upward to the elegant ceilings. Tru Bone Band was the highlight of the evening providing party music that kept the guest on the dance floor the entire evening. It was a wonderful day and evening for Gerri and Chad to share with family and friends.
